The Town of Warwick, Orange County NY has adopted a three quarters of one percent (0.75%) real estate transfer tax on each conveyance of real property for all transfers made on or after April 1, 2007 where the consideration exceeds five hundred dollars ($500). On transfers of improved property the first $100,000 is exempt. On transfers of unimproved property the first $50,000 is exempt. The transfer tax is payable by the grantee. Certain exemptions consistent with New York State Transfer Tax Exemptions apply. |
